The following 4 species of Fish (Pisces) have been positively identified at Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History.

We are just beginning our formal survey of Fish, so please check back later for the results of our work.

POECILIIDAE (Livebearer Family)
Mosquitofish Gambusia affinis (photo above)

CENTRARCHIDAE (Sunfish Family)
Bluegill/Bream Lepomis macrochirus
Large-mouthed Bass Micropterus salmoides

CYPRRINIDAE (Carp & Minnow Family)
Israeli Grass Carp* Ctenopharyngodon idella

* Introduced Species
