The following four species of Flies (Diptera) have been positively identified at Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History.

Flower Fly Toxomerus marginatus

HIPPOBOSCIDAE (Louse Fly Family)
Hippoboscid Fly Ornithomya fringillina (formerly O. anchineuria)

CUTEREBRIDAE (Bot Fly Family)
Tree Squirrel/Rodent Bot Fly
Cuterebra emasculator
