THIS WEEK at HILTON POND |
We were away from Hilton Pond Center most of this week, on vaction at the Carolina coast. Before departing, we banded a fledgling House Finch and recaptured a couple of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds--including a venerable after-4th-year male that was banded as an adult in 1999 and has been re-trapped each year since. Other than that, lots of things were going on at Hilton Pond Center; we just weren't here to observe or write about them all! first week in June 2002 (facing west) If you enjoy "This Week at Hilton Pond," please help Support Hilton Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History. It's painless, and YOU can make a difference! You may wish to consult our Index of all nature topics covered since February 2000. |
